Handcrafted in studio, this vintage chintz cotton fabric evokes visions of peaceful days spent lounging in a field while cows graze lazily and ribbons dance in our hair. Stripes of Robin's Egg blue mixed with tiny rose pink florals together conjure a moment of happiness in an idyllic country cottage. The Emma shade cover is ideal for illuminating any table or light fixture.

*These particular shade covers come with vintage paper shades in slightly varied sizes of around 5 in x 5 in x 3 in. They are slightly smaller than our standard petite shade covers by about 1 in overall. The paper shades have been Mod Podged on the exterior for additional protection. All of our English Staple pieces are made in studio with a selection of natural hand-dyed, vintage and/or antique textiles. Due to the age, originality and bespoke nature of our items, each item may vary slightly and occasionally feature imperfections.
In order to maintain the quality of our heritage pieces, we have crafted a guide below to assist you.

TEXTILE CARE

Due to the delicacy of our vintage and antique textiles, we strongly recommend the following :

handwash all items in cool water
wash hand-dyed pieces separate from others for color fastness
dry items on delicate cycle or in the sunshine
gently iron our textile pieces on low to medium heat to ensure color fastness and fiber strength.

NATURAL DYED TEXTILES

Our hand-dyed English Staple pieces should be washed separate from all other garments for a few washes. This ensures color fastness.

*Please wash by hand and dry on delicate or via sunshine.

FABRIC COVERED PICTURE FRAMES

Our frames are hand constructed and laid with our vintage and antique textiles. If your frame has some slight wrinkling, you may use an iron on low heat (no steam) to gently iron out any wrinkles
